Wine Enthusiast Follows Our Lead, Names Top 25 Beers
The end of the year (and the decade) approaches, and with it, the season of lists, lists, and more lists. Maybe the folks at Wine Enthusiast were inspired by Our 10 Best Beers feature--the magazine has just rolled out its picks for the 25 best beers they tasted this year.

Fork in the Road and Wine Enthusiast share a high regard for Stone Brewing Company, Russian River Brewing Company, and the perennially drinkable, everyday beer Sierra Nevada. Some of our readers' favorite brewer, Dogfish Head, also gets the Enthusiast's thumbs-up. But the magazine's number-one spot goes to a brew that's made in our own backyard--Captain Lawrence Rosso e Marrone, a wickedly high alcohol (10% abv) American ale that's brewed and aged in oak wine barrels in Westchester County.
