A Month After Joining Bussaco, Katy Sparks Leaves Bussaco
At the beginning of December, Fork in the Road spoke with Katy Sparks about her new gig as the executive chef and co-owner of Park Slope's Bussaco. Now, only a month later, Sparks has parted ways with the restaurant.

Diner's Journal reports that Sparks has ended her professional partnership with Bussaco's owner, Scott Carney, due to what the restaurant's rep calls "irreconcilable differences...Katy said 'white,' Scott said 'black.'" Carney also had some irreconcilable differences with his former executive chef, Matthew Schaefer, who left the restaurant a year before Sparks was hired.
