Balade to Open Monday, Bringing More Lebanese Pitza to the East Village

Unknown.jpg
Balade, a new Lebanese pitza joint at 208 First Avenue, will open to the public next Monday. Run by Roland Semaan and Youssef Said, two childhood friends from Beirut, the restaurant will serve pita wraps, pitzas, salads, and a selection of mezza.

Balade, which translates as "fresh," specializes in Sandweechet, pita wraps filled with beef, chicken, or lamb. The pita is made in-house, which can be verified by the Balade logo stamped into the dough. The menu also includes a selection of wines by the glass, including several Lebanese offerings.
