Someone give this lady a glass of wine
Ca-ching! That's the sound of Sarah Palin cashing in. Her multi-million deal with Fox doesn't stop her from traveling around the country to make appearances, for which she reportedly charges $100,000. In fact, this spring Palin will be the keynote speaker at the the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) annual convention. Last year, the WSWA got David Trone, president and co-owner of Total Wine and More, which seems more, well, appropriate.

Given her affinity for Joe Sixpack, we'd have pegged Palin for a beer woman. So what are her qualifications to talk about wine and spirits, exactly? And has anyone informed her that some of the wines sold by the wholesalers' group might come from France?

In a press release, WSWA president and CEO Craig Wolf explained, "Governor Palin is a great supporter of America's free enterprise system and understands that industries like the beverage alcohol industry play a key role in driving our national economy."

Well that clears that up. Should someone tell him that she quit her job as governor?
