Thistle Hill Tavern Now Shooting For March Opening

DSCF1107.jpg
New signage at the corner of 15th Street and Seventh Avenue in South Park Slope reveals that Thistle Hill Tavern, the new spot from 'inoteca's David Massoni, is now aiming for a March opening.

Back in September, the Strong Buzz broke the news of the restaurant-in-progress, reporting that Massoni is joined by two partners in the venture--bartender John Bush and Mike Burkett, of the punk band NOFX--and that the chef is a woman who will be named later.

Today, Massoni said he's still not quite ready to answer detailed questions about the new venture, but the sign indicates an opening within two months or so, and that the New American food will be served for dinner only at first, and will be expanded to brunch, lunch, and morning coffee thereafter. The space was formerly occupied by Middle Eastern restaurant Olive Vine.
