With the NeroDoro, Clinton Hill Gets Piadina and More Coffee
Brownstoner.com Inside the NeroDoro
Clinton Hill seems to be surfing a small wave of gastro-gentrification that began when Choice Market opened a location at Grand and Lafayette Streets back in 2006: Umi Nom opened on Dekalb Avenue near Classon Avenue last summer and, as Fork in the Road reported earlier this month, Urban Vintage, a cafe and vintage housewares retailer, is set to open on Clifton Place and Grand Avenue. Now, with last weekend's opening of the NeroDoro, it looks like Urban Vintage just got a new, similarly caffeinated neighbor.
As Brownstoner reported last week, the NeroDoro, which opened last weekend, is a cafe located on the corner of Clifton Place and Classon Avenue. Its Italian-accented menu includes panini and a wide range of piadina, as well as French breakfast pastries, specials like eggplant parmigiana and the tramezzino of the day, and, of course, coffee drinks.
There are numerous, gorgeously lit photos of NeroDoro on word bk: think exposed brick walls, a sleek little bar, and tastefully distressed wood floors. Per its Facebook page, the cafe is planning to stay open for dinner service, which should make the wine and beer license it's applied for come in handy.
