Beauteous bomboloni.
Behold, more fried dough fetishization: following months of delays, Bomboloni has opened on the Upper West Side. A project of David Ruggerio, who owns the neighborhood restaurant's Lansky's Old World Deli and Sushi a Go-Go, it will sell, as its name suggests, Italian filled doughnuts.

As La Fabricant reports, there will be a variety of fillings, including pistachio, roasted chestnut, and peanut butter cup, as well as a few flavors of gelato. Located at Columbus and 68th Street, it's but a block from Magnolia, leading one to dream of the specter of tweaked-out sugar addicts stumbling haphazardly between the two in relentless pursuit of their next glycemically-incorrect fix.
