Crop to Cup Brings Family-Farmed Joe to Brooklyn Heights

Joe you know.
Crop to Cup's new Brooklyn Heights location opened its doors today. Brooklyn Based reports that, while the family-farmed coffee specialist has managed to be omitted from the recent craft coffee craze, its focus on small-batch growers sets it apart from the current drop of artisanal roasters.

Crop to Cup's mission statement is to "build a relationship between the drinker and the farmer." As a wholesaler, its coffee is available in coffee shops around the country; in New York, it's been a longtime vendor at the Brooklyn Flea. The new cafe will feature milk from Battenkill Valley Creamery in Salem, and will also sell housemade horchata, McClure's Pickles, Nunu Chocolates, Early Bird Granola, and Kumquat Cupcakery's mini cupcakes. A reason to for Brooklyn Heightians to get up in the morning if ever there was one.
