Freddy's Gets Evicted, Vows to Return

• They knew that was part of their lives and accepted it. If I missed something, they would even remind me. I have been ignoring my kids for too long, and consequently, I have lost them. I had to get my kids back.

• We, BOP MONROE & POCKET MONSTER just played on Friday 3/19/10 as part of a VIRTUAL FREDDY'S on SECOND LIFE. The concept was interesting and we were told that there were 33 people 'attending' our gig in cyberspace as well as the 2 dozen people actually in the BACKROOM. This may be the next incarnation: second life's virtual freddy's backroom. We've been playing Freddy's at least once a month on Friday's for the last 7 years. It is our home base (even tho we're from Bay Ridge) and we're really pissed at the RATner. +Don't forget our billionaire mayor's hand in all this criminal real-estate grab. By the way, why would anyone want to be ASSOCIATED WITH THOSE FUCKING LOSERS THE NY NETS...?!! Newark can keep them. Grrrrrrrrr.....! Anyway, we hope to play Freddy's at least a few more times before the (gulp) end.

• ummm, whether you like Freddy's or not, it not the point. should we let government have this much power and control over our personal property and freedoms? I don't drink and don't even live in ny, but i am concerned for the fate of this country to have a powerful government (and judicial system) that has no problems being bought out regardless of what the citizens want. anyone who is not concerned about this or other governmental control obviously does not stand for freedom.

This bar must be saved for all they did to help save the homeless children's shelter. I read in Caribbean News that the Barclays closed out a hundred families with children, and they are so hateful they did it on Doctor King's birthday no less. We got to stop people like this who are evil. Homeless tried to arrest Mr. Rat at his office for his crimes of this and the Yonkers crime he did, and he was wisked down the freight elevator shaft. You can't make this up. And ACORN sits there because they do business with the Rat and they don't like the homeless anymore because they ar black and Acorn likes the Rat's green a lot better. $1.5 million to sell out their homeless neighbors. which they did. You didn't hear ACORN screaming about the homeless shelter the rat closed. Just heard the sound of hundred dollar bills being counted in their office. I don't go to bars, but i wouldn't care if Freddy's was a hat factory or even lingeree store the Rat shouldn't get it because the Rat belongs in jail. Wheres those homeless cops? Why not go after him again? Why government gives him anything? p.s. i think hipsters might be something else, but they might be overweight, too. either way E.S. should forgive himeslf for resembling them. self hate is the worst because then you lash out at others and do domestic violents.

• E.S. Jesus tells to always forgive. And that even includes you and your hatred for the "hipsters." You will only eat yourself out from the inside if you harbor this kind of hate. I think it's ok if a bar wants to serve you or other people with wideness in their cabooses, and don't knock it till you try it no matter how wide you are don't hate yourself and pretend you hate others. They just don't make the crusafix statues that way so we forget this truth. So let me ask you E.S. do you really hate Jesus because of his hips? Jesus made whine out of watter, do you hate whine of Jesus? Go to the church E.S. Jesus don't need you to stare at his hips, though. Jesus is there to save YOU no matter what you look like or what whine you don't want to drink, even if it's his sacred whine.

• im getting so fucking annoyed reading shit about this bar whining, and i really don't know what they're whining about. -Their decrepit bar was probably purchased for 10 times what they paid for it. -They can open the same fucking bar across the street. -Once this stadium gets built its going to be packed every day of the week I hate hipsters

• I made some calls and found what happened was this: Freddy's manager, Donald O'Finn has been unreachable today due to a broken cell phone. The only comment from the bar was from Matt Kuhn. He was correct in saying word spread quickly, and that the bar is exploring ways to stay beyond 30 days. He did not say there was an actual 30 day eviction. There was not. There was just the letter, from a lawyer, with some wishful thinking that freddy's would be closed by April 3. Thank you for posting this story. It shows people care. Please, if you can, at least fix the headlines. FREDDY'S HAS IN NO WAY BEEN EVICTED. PLEASE SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT. AND THEN DROP ON DOWN FOR A BEER! C. U. @ Freddy's

• Freddy's got something that was meant to look like an eviction notice. But it was just a trick by the developer. Which is good. This means he is getting desperate. Ratner may well soon be facing jail time for a bribe his company allegedly paid in Yonkers, NY. The bribee is under indictment, but Ratner, to date, is not. What this indicates to me is that law enforcement is closing in on Ratner - they already have the paychecks his company issued that are the money part of the alleged bribe. An actual eviction notice is a legal document (last nights letter was not) from the court (this was from Ratner's lawyers) and served by a process server (last night's letter came by courrier.) Word spread from concerned patrons, and spread more rapidly than the correct information on what actually happened did. We will drive Ratner and his cronies from Prospect Heights and away from Freddy's Bar. Make no mistake about that. And when there is a REAL eviction date, we will let people know and invite them to join the Fightin' Freddy's patron's group, for the standoff to stop the taking of the bar.
