Will the new Grimaldi's be as photogenic as the original?
Manhattanites are still rejoicing from the arrival of Motorino (serving the city's best pizza, say both Sam Sifton and Rachael Ray). Now, get ready for the first Manhattan outpost of Grimaldi's. It won't be at the South Street Seaport, as previously reported, although a Financial District location is still planned for later this year. Instead, according to the NY Post, the first taste of Grimaldi's in Manhattan will be available this spring at the Limelight Marketplace, housed in the former nightclub.

The Limelight Marketplace is expected to open in mid-April. Grimaldi's owner Frank Ciolli says the pies at the new location will be the same as those turned out at the DUMBO original. What's more, the new spot will be open 24 hours, which leads one to hope that it might be possible to get fed without the usual hour-long queue -- if one is prepared to eat at some ungodly hour, that is.
