Tailor Space to Go Tiki, Sort of

As Painkiller progresses, word of yet another tropical cocktail bar emerges. Julie Reiner, of Clover Club in Cobble Hill, tells Diner's Journal that she's planning to take over the former Tailor space and transform it into a Pacific Rim-themed cocktail lounge. A Hawaii native, Reiner says the bar won't be traditional "tiki," echoing what Richard Boccato and Giuseppe Gonzalez have said of their forthcoming Painkiller. Still, expect pu-pu platters and tiki cocktails -- just no "tiki-tacky."
