Penny House Cafe to Add More Coffee & Pastries to Washington Avenue
Is Washington Avenue poised to be the next Vanderbilt Avenue? Perhaps. A walk down the Prospect Heights thoroughfare revealed that Penny House Cafe (732 Washington Ave.) is "coming soon." Sitting pretty next to a run-down NSA Foodmarket, the small cafe will serve coffee, pastries, and bagels. With Sit & Wonder and Ortine within a couple of blocks, Prospect Heightians will be in no shortage of quaint little spots for a quick dose of carbs or caffeine.
