Where Am I Eating? Tierras Centro Americanas in Jamaica, Queens

The expanded version of the photo (the original contest featured only the green bowl and one tiny snatch of thick miniature tortilla) shows further clues, including a tamale and a bottle of Guatemalan beer -- but the additional clues proved unnecessary.

Well, I tried to make the contest this week much harder, by featuring a dish (jacon) from a Central American cuisine that is very rare in the city, and might be mistaken for other things on other continents.

But Jared Cohee of eattheworldnyc.com got the answer within 15 minutes of the feature being posted. Congratulations! Please send your snail mail address to sdigregorio@villagevoice.com, and she'll give you a choice a cookbooks.

Tune in next week for another contest. And please send your restaurant news and tips in to fork@villagevoice.com
