Booze you can use.
Oh, the times they are a-changin': Just weeks after Bushwick got another cafe, it's now home to a full-fledged wine bar. Called Bodega, it opened last weekend on the somewhat barren corner of St. Nicholas Avenue and Troutman Street.

Bushwick BK reports that the owners, Ben Warren and Gina Leone, have stocked the bar predominately with wines from Spain, Italy, and France, with nods to Argentina, Chile, Portugal, and New York and Long Island producers. They're also planning a menu that will feature meats and cheeses.

The wine bar has its own website, where the owners explain their business' name:

"In Spain 'bodega' means wine cellar and here it's slang for the corner store where you buy necessities like Twinkies and water -- we think good wine and beer is a necessity too!"

It seems likely that a certain portion of the neighborhood's residents will agree.
