Kustard, pumpkins, and birds, oh my.
There may be another food truck on the Brooklyn horizon, thanks to Alan Harding. Harding, who with Jim Mamary more or less birthed Smith Street's restaurant row, has written an amusing entry on his website touching upon subjects as varied as the Smashing Pumpkins and his '67 Volkswagen, and also his plans to launch a food truck in the yard of Hot Bird, the restaurant he opened this week on the corner of Atlantic and Clinton Avenues. The truck will be a 1962 Chevy Curbmaster "Kustard King," an aluminum-bodied vehicle that Harding thinks "will buff out like an Airstream." Can drag races down Atlantic between Harding and Keith Klein's Milk Truck be far behind?
