Baohaus to Beget Crackhaus

crack.JPG
Not that kind of crack house.
Well, that didn't take long: Less than four months after he bought Taiwanese steamed buns and design-inspired puns to Rivington Street, Eddie Huang is gearing up to open a full-on, sit-down restaurant.

Feast reports that Baohaus' Eddie Huang is planning to soft-open Crackhaus on May 13. Located on Orchard Street between Houston and Delancey, it will serve what Huang calls ABC food, or American-Born Chinese, in both small-plate and entree-sized portions. The restaurant's tag line is "on the rocks," which, as its name illustrates, could at this point also refer to the Lower East Side's now all but defunct reputation as anything less than a post-ironic, post-collegiate amusement park.
