Resistance is futile.
We have no idea if Donatella Arpaia has ever ventured below Houston Street, and if so, if she's ever patronized the Meatball Shop, but she certainly seems to have been inspired by the success of its signature product. To wit: On Friday, Arpaia will open a meatball wagon on the patio outside Mia Dona that will serve the restaurant's meatballs daily from noon to 2 p.m. As with the meatballs at the Meatball Shop, they're offered as a sandwich or dish. Unlike the meatballs at the Meatball Shop, they will most likely be consumed inside midtown office cubicles.
