Sweet, sweet Sunday.

Easter, whether you celebrate it or not, has one universally appealing factor -- treats, and lots of them. As if that's not enough, the bunny brought New York the nicest weather of the year, which makes everything much sweeter.

So, we've found an ideal way to combine dessert and sunshine.

The Greenwich Village History and Dessert Tour, a downtown walking excursion, sugar-coats a New York history lesson with stops for decadent goodies along the way.

The tour zigzags through historic alleyways and Village nooks like Washington Mews (the former home of Edward Hopper) and Grove Court (the setting of an O. Henry short story, "The Last Leaf").

Though the history, which includes stories about Bob Dylan and George Washington, is enticing, the desserts are the real draw. The tour stops for homemade chocolates at the 87-year-old confectioner Li-Lac, as well as chocolate-covered strawberries and rugelach cookies from CC's café, effectively putting most childhood Easter baskets to shame.

In other words, it's the perfect treat-laden bunny trail.
