Although Allison Kave and her mother, Rhonda Kave, will be among the food vendors selling their wares at the Hester Street Fair, which kicks off on April 24, they're not limiting their market days to Manhattan. Allison, the founder of the burgeoning First Prize Pies, and Rhonda, the eponymous owner of Roni-Sue's Chocolates, have joined forces with Sarivole Organic Bakery (whose owner is Roni-Sue's production manager) and Fatty 'Cue's Jori Emde to start God Buns market in the outdoor space next to Fatty 'Cue. It began last Sunday, and Rhonda Kave tells us that it will keep going indefinitely -- or at least, one assumes, until the cold weather sets in. And if anything can make the wait for a table a bit sweeter, it's pie and truffles.
