Coming soon: even more greenery.
The Hester Street Fair has avocado popsicles, lobster rolls, and omelettes; soon, it will add more raw ingredients to its line up. SuChin Park, the fair's organizer, is partnering with the Grand Street Greenmarket to offer fresh produce at the weekly fair.

Park told Bowery Boogie that the partnership is something of a lifesaver for the Greenmarket, which was about to give up the ghost due to a lack of customer support through the years. The market will be located right next to the street fair's gate at Essex and Hester Streets. The Greenmarket is tiny -- it previously occupied one short block of Grand Street -- but boasts impressive variety. If the produce carried at the Greenmarket during previous seasons is any indications, shoppers can expect nectarines, raspberries, corn, beets, zucchini, and local honey to fuel them through the summer season.
