The John Dory of old.
A month after he told us he'd be re-opening the John Dory in the Ace Hotel, Ken Friedman has revealed a few more details about the seafood restaurant's resurrection. According to the Wall Street Journal, it should open by mid-July, and will feature a ginormous raw bar, space for 150, and sidewalk seating. It'll also be a bit more casual than its original incarnation -- no tablecloths or suits -- and eventually serve fish and chips. The fish tank will be back, and so, one assumes, will the clamoring crowds.
