Nate Appleman Arrested for Weapons Possession....of a Two-Inch Pocket Knife
It seems that New York's finest were working extra hard over last week to protect the city from marauding chefs: the Post reports that Nate Appleman was arrested on Wednesday afternoon for weapons possession. The weapon in question was a two-inch pocket knife.

Appleman was walking in the East Village when the cops spied a chain leading from his belt to his pocket; upon discovering the chain was attached to the aforementioned knife, they arrested the chef and charged him with weapons possession. Appleman, who told the paper that he uses the knife for cutting boxes at work, was released after only a couple of hours, and has to appear in court later this month.
