Ben's Best Kosher Deli Gets the Food Curated Treatment

Food Curated teams up with the intrepid Joe DiStefano for a journey into Rego Park, Queens, where one of the city's last kosher delicatessens still stands. Jay Parker, owner of Ben's Best Gourmet Delicatessen, regales with stories of growing up in the deli, which he took over running from his father 30 years ago. In 1938, there were 2,000 kosher delis, he says. Today, there are 16. Sad math, but a pastrami sandwich and bowl of Jewish Penicillin is sure to cheer you up.
