Restaurants Band Together to Raise Money for Grand Street Fire Victims

The Lo-Down The remnants of 283-85 Grand Street.
From May 17-21, An Choi, Barrio Chino, Cafe El Portal, La Esquina, and Lovely Day will donate a percentage of their sales to benefit the victims of last month's devastating Grand Street fire. Both Lovely Day and An Choi are acting as sponsors of the event, which will also include a Spring Clean clothing drop-off at the Hester Street Fair on Sunday, May 23. Given its recent troubles, La Esquina's participation seems to be far from guaranteed, but here's hoping for the best for all involved. [Bowery Boogie]
