Roberta's Brooklyn Grange Will Be in Queens

It looks like the meatballs finally paid off: the folks at Roberta's have found a 40,000 square-foot rooftop home for their Brooklyn Grange Farms. And it will be in Queens.

The Wall Street Journal reports that after looking for a space for five months, the Roberta's gang found a suitable space in Long Island City. It will be the city's largest rooftop farm, and has a $170,000 budget culled from community support, investors, and personal loans. If all goes according to plan, the rooftop farm will grow nine months out of the year, and sell its produce to local restaurants and markets in Brooklyn and Queens.
