"Outer-Borough" Foods Will Be on Display This Weekend in Noho
Not only does a lot of the food being made by earnest young people in Brooklyn and Queens taste good, it looks real pretty, too. This weekend, an array of winsomely designed products will get their time in the design spotlight courtesy of a collaboration between the online design and culture magazine Sight Unseen and the store Partners & Spade. The exhibit and sale are part of the two-day Noho Design District event that's being held during the International Contemporary Furniture Fair. Chocolate bars from Mary & Matt, syrups from P&H Soda, kombucha from Luminous Kitchens, and moonshine from Kings County Distillery will share space with Morris Kitchen's ginger syrup, cheeses from the Bedford Cheese Shop, and jam from Anarchy in a Jar. All of which sounds a lot better than a bag of Slim Chips.
