Terrance Brennan Hit With Wage Violation Lawsuit

Terrance Brennan may have started speaking Spanish in Tribeca, but he may also want to brush up on his legalese: Four former servers at Artisanal have filed a class-action lawsuit against him for violating state and federal labor laws.

According to Crain's, the complaint alleges that Brennan demanded the servers share their tip money with other, non-tipped employees, and also stiffed them on accurate minimum wage and overtime. The suit covers some 380 current and former employees who have worked at the restaurant since June 17, 2003.

But Brennan isn't the only one allegedly behaving badly: Grub Street finds that Barolo has also been slapped with a class-action lawsuit that alleges that non-hourly employees were also allowed to dip into the tip pool.
