Didier Elena has finally been confirmed "in" at Alain Ducasse at the Essex House following a six-year absence from the city, where he hopes to win back the Michelin star lost by his predecessor.

Following the closure of her 24 Prince, Top Chef alum Nikki Cascone has been approved to open a "global Jewish" restaurant at 40 Avenue B.
Meanwhile, another Top Cheffer, Michael Voltaggio, has left his position at Langham in Pasadena, California, and word is he plans to move on to other projects, possibly TV-related ones.

Mario Batali has joined the "C'mon LeBron" campaign. He's doubled Michael Symon's offer of a meal a month to stay in Cleveland should the basketball star come to New York.
