Lunch Line, the Movie, Chronicles the History of the School Lunch in America
In light of the news, earlier this week, of a proposal to cut the school lunch program by one meal a day, saving the city up to $23.7 million a year, let's take a look at Lunch Line, a new documentary. The movie began as an examination of the Organic School Project, but soon morphed into the story of school lunches, how they came to be and how how they came to be such a problem.
Tales of the cafeteria.
The film showed last month at Anthology Film Archives, but the DVD can be obtained via Applegate Farms, a sponsor of the film.
