No. 7 Sub Shop Is Now Serving Breakfast
Rebecca got the Early Word on No. 7 Sub in the Ace Hotel and declared that the General Tso's tofu sandwich tasted like "mortal sin and eternal love, and may be the best thing to happen to vegetarians since the invention of the grilled cheese sandwich." And she is not given to easy praise.

So we were excited to hear, via Eater, that the sandwich shop is now serving breakfast.
As of today, breakfast is available Monday through Saturday from 8 to 10:30 a. m. There are three sandwiches available but no coffee yet; the menu will likely expand as they go along.
Right now, those sandwiches are $3-$5 and include one filled with cucumber, peanut butter, pickled bananas, and honey (!), and another with corned beef hash, scallion cream cheese, and poppy seeds. They're keeping it interesting, that's for sure.
