Tom Colicchio Will Open Riverpark This October
In less than two weeks, the new season of Top Chef will deliver a meaty, man-sized portion of Tom Colicchio to the viewing public. For local fans, the show will provide but an amuse-bouche for a second, less televised helping of Colicchio this fall, when the chef and his 'wichcraft partner Sisha Ortuzar open Riverpark. 
New York Restaurant Insider Colicchio will sing a new song in Kips Bay.
The restaurant, which La Fabricant reports will feature "easygoing American menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner," will be located way out east on 29th Street between First Avenue and the FDR Drive. Given that Colicchio's largest competitor in that underserved area of Kips Bay is the Bellevue Hospital cafeteria, the restaurant, if its prices are right, should find a receptive audience. Should all go according to plan, it will open in October.
