Brother Jimmy's Sued by Former Workers

Categories: Marx, Recipes

Four former workers are accusing Brother Jimmy's of being one mean mother, filing a class-action lawsuit against the owners of the barbecue chain over allegations of unfair labor practices.

Eater got its hands on the suit, which contends that the plaintiffs (and workers at various locations of the restaurant) were required to work more than 40 hours a week despite being paid a flat rate that didn't account for overtime.

The plaintiffs want to be compensated for every 10 hours of overtime they worked each week, over the span of weeks, months, and years; the sum they're seeking is undisclosed, as is the amount of psychic damage accrued from spending the better part of one's waking hours serving ribs to frat boys.
