Welcome to 100 Dishes to Eat Now, Fork in the Road's handy list of some of our favorite dishes -- old standbys and new finds alike -- compiled daily.

Today's pick: Nigerian goat stew ($7) from Buka.

Buka is Brooklyn's newest Nigerian restaurant, located on Fulton Street in Clinton Hill. From the array of stews and pepper soups offered, we picked goat stew -- chunks of meat with skin and sinew attached relaxing in a pond of tomato sauce flavored with palm oil.

This dish is typically served with a starch of your choice. In this case, the best accompaniment is pounded white-yam fufu, which comes in a separate bowl. Eat the combination by nipping off a piece of fufu from the ball with your fingers, then dip deeply into the sauce. Or use the fufu as an edible napkin to pick up bits of goat. The dish is richly flavored and yummy. 946 Fulton Street, 347-763-0619
