Moët Launches Bubbly Meant to Be Sipped on the Rocks
Champagne sales appear to be on the rebound following the slump of 2009. But that doesn't mean Moët & Chandon can just sit back on its laurels, hoping that people will continue to drink more bubbly. The company recently launched Moët Ice Impérial, a champagne meant to be poured over ice, with the aim of appealing to the cocktailing set. The fruity, slightly sweet champers is already being served at Hudson Hotel and several places in the Hamptons. So, how much for a champagne you're meant to toss a couple of ice cubes into and sip under the sun while your lesser companions pound, say, Bud Light Lime? That's about $200, campers.
