Tacos with a side of Busey.
This summer's Red Hook Films series got going last week, and it's joining forces with some local restaurants to lure the general populace to its outdoor screenings.

Next Tuesday, Rockaway Taco and the Rice chainlet will sponsor the screening of Big Wednesday, the 1978 surfer classic starring a pre-alien-brainwashing Gary Busey. The menu, which can be seen here, will feature carnitas and elote.

In August, the Good Fork will sponsor Cabin Boy, supplying bento boxes to any moviegoers who brave Chris Elliott's 1994 comedic tour de force. And Fort Defiance will act as the series' ongoing rain-date sponsor, providing shelter from any unexpected storms -- and, one assumes, plenty of cocktails and deviled eggs.
