Can you see your critically praised slice from here?
Baby artichoke pie from the son of Di Fara's Domenico DeMarco? Check. Steak frites with Minetta Tavern provenance? Check.

Where in New York could one potentially get both of these prize dishes within one hour? LaGuardia's Terminal D, as of August 21.

Flo Fab reports in the Times that two new sit-down restaurants -- a French bistro from Lee Hanson and Minetta's Riad Nasr, and a steak and seafood tavern from Porter House New York's Michael Lomonaco, in addition to a food court featuring burgers made from Pat LaFrieda meat -- will all land at the airport this month. The names involved in eateries scheduled for coming months -- Locanda Verde's Andrew Carmellini, Marea partner Chris Cannon -- are more reminiscent of the red carpet than the tarmac. "We wanted this to be a real New York dining experience," a representative tells the Times.

The good stuff is past security, so it's for ticket-holders only. Maybe time to reconsider your commitment to JetBlue at JFK?
