Baked Explorations, Baked's Second Cookbook, Is Coming Next Month

Given that it's almost cool enough to entertain the possibility of turning on an oven again, we're happy to learn that Baked -- home to the aforementioned peanut s'mores bar -- is about to publish its second cookbook.

Baked Explorations follows the success of Baked: New Frontiers in Baking, which was published in 2008. In Explorations , per Amazon's product description, "the authors [Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito] give their signature "Baked" twists to famous desserts from across the country. Here is their take on our most treasured desserts: Banana Cream Pie, Black & White Cookies, Mississippi Mud Pie, and more -- from the overworked to the underappreciated."

There will be 75 recipes covering everything from breakfast to midnight snacks; given the love that greeted Lewis and Poliafito's first book, one imagines that their sophomore effort will be anything but underappreciated.
