The Good Food Jobs Site Is Up and Running

Back in May, we were heartened to learn of the nascent existence of Good Food Jobs, a website promising food industry employment that wasn't limited to back-breaking labor and/or pouring vodka shots for lecherous day traders. Now, the site's founders, Taylor Cocalis and Dorothy Neagle, send word that the Good Food Jobs site is up and running -- previously, jobs were posted on a weekly e-mail newsletter and the site's Facebook page. The site will officially launch on October 1, but a look earlier this afternoon found it up and running, with job postings that ranged from a bilingual tour guide with Urban Oyster Tours to a general manager at Txikito and El Quinto Pino. Job categories include Business, Agriculture, Design, and Education, four words that are notably absent from the vast majority of employment opportunities found on Craigslist.
