Taro Sushi Will Open Its Flatbush Avenue Location by the End of the Month

Get ready, Flatbush Avenue.

Taro Sushi is an institution in Park Slope, thanks to its impeccably fresh raw fish and such rarefied options as natto and monkfish liver.

So it was relatively big news in the neighborhood when word surfaced that the tiny restaurant would open a second, much larger location on the corner of Flatbush Avenue and St. Marks Place. A walk by this weekend showed that the sign is now up and renderings of the new place are in the window. We called Taro's original Dean Street location this morning and were told that the new place will open by the end of September.

When it does, it will share an intersection with Cubana Cafe and Flatbush Farm and be a mere block from Bklyn Larder and Franny's, making this stretch of Flatbush the borough's latest destination for wandering culinary avengers.
