• I have purchased from Hot Hosh, once at Coney Island. Live Bait vending machines have been around for years.

• I say the pizza and live bait machines have hit the US. Do I get my cookbook?

• I've seen a lobster machine like this at Dick's Last Resort on the Riverwalk in San Antonio years ago.

• I am certain I saw in some places in New York and Vermont the "Live Bait" machines. I think I also have seen the "French-Fry" machine at a County Fair in New York.

• They have the pizza maker at Brown University here in Providence Rhode Island and the Lobster machine is here in the US!

• I wish more of them were in America!

• I have seen the Lobster machine at a bar in Tempe, Az. We were there for a bachelorette party and we actually saw someone win we one! The bride took pictures with it :)

• The French Fry machines have existed in the US. Many Air Force and Army Bases had them in the lobbies of the PX/BX back in the late 80s.

• Las Vegas has the Marine Catcher machine, too. It's in the Las Vegas Club downtown. The lobsters all hang out in the corners and on the sides. I believe it's $2 a try but it's virtually impossible to get them. Who says lobsters are stupid? :)

• Lindsay, who guessed Hot Nosh and Live Bait, is the winner. There was a Live Bait machine at Pier 40 on the Hudson River until a couple of years ago, and I saw Hot Nosh at the Brookyn Zoo at about the same time, don't know if it's still there. • The automat and the lobster machine have both been in NY. As others have noted, neither are anymore.

• The machine at Happy Endings in Hollywood is $2 but is basically impossible. We once had the lobster in the claw and heading for the drop zone but it wiggled around and easily fell free.

• Happy Endings bar in Hollywood, CA has the Lobster Machine! If I remember right, it's 5 bucks for one try and it's damn near impossible.

• the Black Pearl in Flat Iron was the first to get it in New York when Chef Gordon Ramsey installed it during their segment of Kitchen Nightmares. They since sold it and went out of business.
