Give me a tea.
Harney & Sons Fine Teas, whose more than 250 different types of tea, including iced versions, can be found in gourmet shops and fine-dining establishments the world over, is opening its first tea house in New York City by late fall or early winter.

Located at 433 Broome Street in Soho, the tea house will offer proprietary blends, as well as baked goods, like scones and quiches. The space is actually the second tea house the company has opened in its more than 25 years of operation -- it has a tasting room at its headquarters upstate in Millerton, New York, in Dutchess County.

For a truly in-depth taste of Harney & Sons teas, join Michael Harney (one of the "Sons"), at the International Culinary Center tomorrow, October 8. He'll be giving a three-hour tasting and seminar on tea, including white, green, oolong, and black teas from China, Japan, Taiwan, and India. The cost is $125.
