The gift that keeps on giving.
Having once lived downwind of Little Giant's exhaust system, we can sympathize with the residents of 10 West End Avenue, whose ground floor is home to the Urbani Truffles retail store. While the scent of truffles has been compared to everything from soil to sex, at 10 West End, the Times reports, it is more reminiscent of "half a dozen pairs of teenage boys' worn-out sneakers and some stinky, stinky cheese." The odor is apparently so aggressive that some of the luxury condo's residents have had difficulty selling their multi-million dollar homes. Urbani's vice president said the company is installing a $50,000 ventilation system to combat the problem; in the meantime, some gratis fungi might help to win back his neighbors' good graces.
