Stephen Colbert, who recently testified before Congress -- in character -- about immigrant agricultural workers, expressed gratification on his show last night at a small step in the fight against noise pollution. Frito-Lay has pulled the biodegradable packaging it launched last year for its SunChips brand, following the onslaught of complaints from customers that the bags were too noisy. Now all we have to worry about is actual pollution.
