Restaurants and bars, they come and they go. Here are a few making their debuts and bowing out this week.

Bossa Nova Brazil in Hell's Kitchen has closed to make room for Flavor, which looks like it could be a martini bar.

Donald Sacks in Battery Park is closing down after 27 years in operation. In its stead, Ed's Lobster Bar is looking to set up shop.

Thomas Beisl, once the go-to BAM dinner reservation, has been replaced by Berlyn, another Germanic eatery serving dishes likes corned beef and maultaschen.

Franco Barrio, the former chef de cuisine at Boqueria, has opened Caliu, with a menu of traditional tapas and paella.

The long-awaited Ciano by Shea Gallante is finally here. Dishes include buccatini with zucchini and saffron, and baked fuzi with sausage and broccoli rabe.

The second venue for the team behind Highlands, Mary Queen of Scots, is finally making its debut in the former Allen & Delancey space. Expect French-accented British fare.

Dubuque, a new burger joint in Carroll Gardens, is serving lamb, pork, and beef burgers -- all for around $12.

Former Beatrice Inn doorman Angelo Bianchi is involved in a new pizzeria in Nolita called Rubirosa.

Sosta has opened in Boerum Hill, specializing in pizza, antipasti, salads, and panini. For now, it's just doing lunch.

Bed-Stuy has a new café. Brooklyn Stoops offers the usual: coffees, teas, smoothies, bagels, sandwiches, and other baked goods.

Good Beer NYC is bringing, well, good beer to the East Village. Expect craft suds from Smuttynose, Captain Lawrence, and Sixpoint alongside grass-fed sausage and local cheese.

The team behind the now-defunct Elatteria is debuting Carmine Club Café, with a menu of Mediterranean dishes, like charred octopus and oxtail braised with unsweetened cocoa.
