Zac Young of Flex Mussels/Top Chef: Just Desserts to Open Doughnut Shop
Although Zac Young was sadly dismissed from Top Chef: Just Desserts last week, he'll be bestowing his disco-dusted wares upon the New York populace with a new doughnut shop. Young, who's the pastry chef at Flex Mussels, told Dessert Buzz that he'll be opening the shop with the owners of the seafood restaurant, which already has two locations on the Upper East Side and on West 13th Street.

In the meantime, Young has taken to Twitter to urge his followers to vote for him as the Just Desserts fan favorite: "a vote for me is a vote for glitter, showtunes, and cakewrecks." Here's hoping at least one of those things makes its way into the doughnuts.
