Astor Place Seems to Be Getting a Wine Bar
Although we could barely make it out through the steamy windows, it appears as though the rather hideous Charles Gwathmey condo tower (a/k/a the Green Monster) on Astor Place will be getting a wine bar.
If this sign is to be believed, it will be accessible from the building's Cooper Square entrance, right between the Chase bank that occupies much of its ground floor and the pocket park that plays host to NYU students, lunching office workers, and indigents.
