The Best Thing I Ate Yesterday

Welcome to The Best Thing I Ate Yesterday, where we endeavor to remember the very best thing we stuffed down our gullets over the past 24 hours. Why? Because the only thing better than enjoying a meal is wallowing in the memory of one savored in the recent past.

Today's fond reminiscences ...

Lauren Shockey: Yuba soba at Cocoron (61 Delancey Street, 212-925-5220).

Victoria Bekiempis: Grilled tofu with eggplant, zucchini, and carrots from Milano Market (1582 Third Avenue, 212- 996-6681).

Chantal Martineau: Pernod Absinthe chocolate bonbons by Cacao Prieto at a Pernod dinner thrown by a razor, a shiny knife.

Robert Sietsema: Vegetable soup made at home with tomatoes canned this summer and winter veggies from the Greenmarket (potatoes, collards, cabbage, and carrots).

Rebecca Marx: Red quinoa with edamame, roasted beets and turnips, a hard-boiled egg, and hummus, made at home.
