The Best Thing I Ate Yesterday

Welcome to The Best Thing I Ate Yesterday, where we endeavor to remember the very best thing we stuffed down our gullets over the past 24 hours. Why? Because the only thing better than enjoying a meal is wallowing in the memory of one savored in the recent past.

Today's fond reminiscences ...

Victoria Bekiempis: Cookie dough cannoli from Stuffed Artisan Cannolis (176 Stanton Street, 212-995-2266), purchased from stall in the Union Square Holiday Market.

Rebecca Marx: Grilled cheese sandwiches and Deborah Madison's tomato soup, made at home.

Robert Sietsema: Noodles with Peking Sauce at Hyo Dong Gak (51 West 35th Street, 212-695-7167).

Chantal Martineau: Napa Valley Winter punch, made at a friend's house for a party, adapted from a Bon Appétit recipe (Cruzan spiced rum, lemon juice, orange juice, and a spiced syrup flavored with nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, mace, and ginger.)

Lauren Shockey: Shrimp and scallop enchiladas at Fonda (434 Seventh Avenue, Brooklyn, 718-369-3144).
