Tomorrow: 10 Fast Food Offerings That Don't Suck
Sure, Wendy's chili is totally acceptable, and maybe even good, but is that enough to catapult it into the top 10?
Picture this: You're in a car on the outskirts of Intercourse, Pennsylvania, clutching your well-thumbed antique copy of Road Food by Jane and Michael Stern. Where it says there should be a place that makes the best pies in the state, where you'd been planning on making a meal out of an entire coconut cream pie, all you find is a deep hole in the ground, and a foundation half-poured.
And as far as the eye can see, all you spy are franchise restaurants, national chains with food that's cheap, but mainly awful. We've spent the last couple weeks checking out contemporary fast-food options, and have made a top 10 list of things worth eating in them. We've included only franchises that are represented in the city.
