The new Fatty.
In order to fill the silence between the closure of Cabrito and the opening of the new restaurant concept that will occupy the space, Zak Pelaccio and partner Rick Camac are launching a pop-up bar and restaurant at 50 Carmine Street. Per Diner's Journal, it will be called Fatty Johnson's and will feature a ham-heavy menu and rotating roster of guest bartenders. Already equipped with a website, Facebook page, and Twitter account, it opens Wednesday and will run for four to six weeks, serving food until midnight and drinks until 2 a.m. The new permanent restaurant is slated for spring.
